Lose The Binky, Lose the Nap Time

Aly has been taken off the binky.  I know...shes 2 1/2.  BUT ::whiney voice:: she only had it at nap and bed time.  She went to the dentist Thursday.  He said NO MORE! 

The first night was rough.  Really BAD.  Second night wasnt too bad at all. She went to bed at 8 and woke up once around 9 and then slept till 9 the next morning! 

The girls found a dress up wig at my moms house the other day.  Libby declared them  "Lady GaGa" and "Baby Gaga"

I have been working on taking one of the girls stands that they had in their room.  It held baskets it on it and was covered in pink cloth.  Lib decided she didnt want it anymore...and I was on the look out for one for the kitchen to hold my crockpots and cook books. Heres what it looks like now

I used old bricks and wrapped them in foil and then in some decorative cloth napkins and tied brown bows around them to use as book ends.  I still want to paint it or stain it.  But this will work for now.

Its a loooong day.  And its only 3pm.  I haven't been too productive today.  My dad called me around 8 am to see if him and his wife and their 3 dogs could come over.  (and that they were on their way anyways lol).  Thank goodness I have been working really hard on our house being "company ready." They have a lab (lolas brother...Hunter), a lab/collie mix...or something like that April, and a little toy poodle Sammie.  The big dogs all played outside since our backyard is fenced in.  Well most of the time they stayed outside.  My dad has Trigeminal Neuralgia and was having a flare up so he may be back in the hospital tonight.  After they left, Lib went to play at a friends house @ noon.  And at 12:30 Aly layed down for a nap.

For that is what I found when I went and checked on her.  When she wakes up in about 15 min (I guess Im gonna have to be the mean mommy and go wake her up) we have to go get Lib.  Then to come back and carpet clean and think of something yummy for dinner with ground hamburger.

Lib and I played a fun game of checkers and munched on chips and salsa today, while Miss Aly was snoozing.

She wanted me to cheat to let her win.  And I tried so ever hard.  Lol. But she got much better towards the third game.  We will try again tomorrow.

Wow.  My day doesnt sound very exciting.  Believe me, it hasnt been.  Minus the whole chasing our crazy dog about 10 laps around our house today trying to get the hair brush from her mouth.  Shes a lovely dog....Lola.

 

She is really a good dog.  Just C.R.A.Z.Y.!  That little puppy beside her (the real one) is her pal Shaggy.  My wonderful Mother In Law's little dog.  They are buddies.  I think they go through withdrawls when they arent around eachother. 

Tonight for the dinner agenda:

Attempting to fillet (does that mean cut open and pound?) chicken breasts

fill them with some jalopenos and cream cheese and roll them up into pinwheel type rolls and bake them in the oven.  I may top with some pepper jack cheese.  The girls will just have theirs plain or stuffed with provolone.

Welp before I can start my crafting.  I first must declutter.  I have gone through all of Libs (7 year old daughter)  school work from 1st year of PreK through 1st grade.  LOTS OF PAPERS!  Saved only a few things.  I'm not sure why I was hanging on to every.single.thing.  Oh well taken care of now :o)
Aly (2 year old daughter) has double pink eye.  Eye drops+ 2 year old = Combat Zone: Stay Clear!  I need back up!  We are getting through it. 

Next up:  Find a box to place all of kitchen donation stuff in.  I'm sure it will be a lot.  Our house is not cluttered.  But I could deal with it being even less.  Ugh.

Lib and I were making pottery on a little pottery wheel she got for Christmas from her pappy, while Aly was laying down for a nap.

When we hear a loud "THUD" coming from Aly's bedroom.  I run in there to see what was wrong....



Apparently Aly found a marker and thought it would be a fantastic idea to color on her wall.  Unfortunately she was a lot happier about her artwork than I was.  She got put in time while I tried to locate this villain of a marker (much to my dismay it was not locatable).  She is laying down again.  And I am going to research how to get red marker off walls because Mr Clean's Magic Eraser didn't do the trick...

Just threw dinner in the crockpot.

Then we will have it on french bread with prov. cheese.  Sounds like a philly steak sandwich to me...

Finding My Inner Blog 2012

Last year I lost myself within the chaos of life.  This year I want to re-find myself.  I have never blogged before.  So we will see how this goes, and how long it lasts.  I have been happily married to my bestfriend, since May of 2004.  We have a sweet 7year old little girl, and a sweet 2 year old little girl.  We also have an incredibly crazy dog Lola!  I am hoping that with this blog I find the me that I lost last year.  The one that still enjoys crafting and crockpotting.  And of course being a mother and a wife.  So here goes....bring on 2012!
